Podcasts have been around for many years but have become hugely popular in the past couple of years. I’ve listened to Salesforce podcasts for many years – some are still around and quite a few have disappeared. Podcasts are a great way to learn new skills, develop ideas and gain knowledge whilst lying on the sofa, walking the dog, or on the cross-trainer in the gym – all for free.
Below I’ve listed my current 3 favourite Salesforce podcasts. I hope you enjoy them.
- Ad Victoriam Salesforce Simplified – Ad Victoriam is a Salesforce Consultancy based near Atlanta, Georgia, USA. The podcast is a collection of interesting interviews with Salesforce specialists based across the globe. Mike Boyle is the lead host and is engaging, incredibly knowledgeable and asks all the right questions. Episodes last about 30 minutes, and cover all aspects of Salesforce, with a focus on finding solutions for requirements. Over the weeks the podcasts look at a variety of subjects, industries and issues. Listen to this podcast and you’ll be inspired by the latest related tech and ideas.
- Salesforce Admin Podcast – this is Salesforce’s own podcast, so you can expect it to be up-to-date and informative. Each episode lasts about 30 mins. Mike Gerholdt is the King of Salesforce Podcasting, he’s been doing this for many years, long before he decided to start working directly for Salesforce. Episodes switch between interviews with leading Salesforce admins, developers, consultants and owners, and between retros, where the team discusses the latest changes in the Salesforce platform. This is a ‘must-listen’ for anyone developing a career in the Salesforce eco-system, be they Admins or not.
- Mums on Cloud Nine is another of my favourite Salesforce podcasts. The podcast looks to inspire mums to build a career within the Salesforce tech eco-system. With step-by-step episodes showing listeners how to get started and how to develop their tech career. It’s inspirational stuff and a great listen for everyone – you don’t need to be a mum to love the exchange of ideas and real-life experiences. Episodes range from describing the basics and Admin needs to know, to digging down into more advanced functionality with Salesforce and related products.
These podcasts above are a great learning resource. Subscribe to these and others using your preferred podcast (I use the Google Podcasts app on my phone). Enjoy.
